Regionen består av Rallarvegen, Hardangerjøkulen, Nærøyfjorden og Aurlandsdalen. Med Visit Rallarvegen ønsker vi å hjelpe deg med å skape en reise gjennom alt det Norge har å by på av uberørt natur og kraftfulle opplevelser.

Rallarvegen has been announced to be the most beautiful bike-trip in Norway several times. But this time Jenter på Hjul annonces it to be the most beautiful bike-trip in the world. We agree, of course. On Thursday at 20.00 we reccommend the TV-programme Jenter på Hjul when they ar biking Rallarvegen. 
In the beginning of May we started receiving e-mails and phone-calls about Rallarvegen. It is hard for us to tell when the snow will melt and when the road will be without snow. This varies from year to year and is all dependent on the weather we get in June and where the winds has placed the biggest snow-piles during the winter. The staff at Finse has decided to keep a close eye on the speed of melting and will give wekly updates through Rallarveg-reports. Hopefully we are able to bike the whole trip from Finse to Flåm without any snow by the end of June.
We are approaching the biking-season at Rallarvegen, finally. Tonight the first programme of four in total of the TV-series Jenter på Hjul is being sent on TV2. The fourth programme is from Rallarvegen. Visit Rallarvegen has sponsored the programme and we hope that it will be of inspiration to all those who have not yet done Rallarvegen. 
Aurlandsdalen is a 40 km valley in Aurland, Sogn og Fjordane. The very special and beautiful valley surrounded by majestetic mountains is visited by hiker from all over the world, every summer. The valley is wild and beautiful. If you want to experience this beautiful nature, it is time to start planning it, Østerbø Fjellstove is a natural coice when it comes to accommodation.

Not everyone agrees that Skarverennet is supposed to be the last skitrip of the season. Finse 1222 arranges the classic spring-skitrip every Saturday in May. Finse 1222 has professional guides that takes care of you and points out the route. The beautiful nature this trip presents cannot be described, it has to be experienced, but we'll explain the route. 
At Rallarmuseet you get insight into the life of the railway-workers that built Bergensbanen. You can experience the authentic smithy and an old barack where the workers lived. You get to see films and pictures of the work and the touristic life. In the Café Rotaren you can try the wafles or the Rallar-soup. The Rallarmuseum recently launched their new web-page, 
Even though the season for biking has started in most parts of Norway, we still have to wait a while before Rallarvegen is ready for bikers. It all comes down to the speed of snow-melting. Snow is particularly a challenge on the route between Finse and Hallingskeid. Kommende arrangementer
